The Catenda platform supports two different types of user management. The first is the traditional user management where users create their own accounts within the Catenda platform. The second is the **System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) API** which allows organizations to manage users across multiple domains that they own.

The SCIM specification is an HTTP-based protocol that makes managing identities in multi-domain scenarios easier to support via a standardized service. See [RFC-7644](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc7644) for detailed information.

To access the SCIM API you will need to authenticate using the client credentials flow as an organization.
